NTA JEE Main 2021 Exam
In this article, the important information regarding NTA Jee Main 2021 is given. After clearing the NTA JEE Main 2021 Exam, the candidates can take admission in national NIT, IIIT, and CFTIs on the basis of their performance and rank in the entrance examination. Not only this, but JEE Main Entrance Examination also acts as a gateway for JEE Advanced Entrance Exam. Those candidates who qualify jee main can appear in the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates are admitted to the appropriate IITs on the basis of the rank of the JEE Advanced exam.
Since 2019, JEE Main Examination is conducted twice a year, once in January and the second time in April. There are about 8 Lakhs to 9 Lakhs students’ appearances in the exam and only 2 Lakhs+ students qualify the exam. These students are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced exam. Earlier this exam was done offline but now it is conducted online at the national level.
Till the year 2018, this exam was conducted by CBSE but from 2019 the NTA is the governing body of this exam. Where earlier this exam was conducted once a year by CBSE but now under NTA this exam is conducted twice a year January and April.
Eligibility and Total Attempts
From 2019, this exam is being conducted by NTA. Although there is not much change in the eligibility criterion of this exam, the eligible Candidate maximum can appear three times in this exam in Successive Years. Now since this exam is conducted twice a year. The candidate can appear three times in this exam in Successive Years, it means that candidates get a maximum of 6 attempts to clear this exam. Those who are studying in 12th or its equivalent exam or have qualified 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to give the JEE Main exam.
No maximum age limit has been set for the candidates but maximum attempts are limited.
Candidates have a minimum of 5 subjects out of which three compulsory subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and two other subjects such as Biology / Biotechnology / Language or any other subject. If the candidate has taken less than 5 subjects in the qualifying exam then he/she is not eligible to appear in this exam.
Qualification and Percentage Marks
UR/OBC/EWS candidates must have a minimum 75% marks in boards exam or must be in the top 20 percentile. SC/ST candidates must have a minimum of 65% marks in boards exam or must be in the top 20 percentile. If the candidate interested in taking B. Arch. the exam then he/she must have a minimum of 50% marks and must also have studied compulsory subject physics, chemistry, and mathematics in the 12th or equivalent exam. Any kind of diploma holder is not eligible to appear in this exam.
Application forms for the January session become available in September and the last date of complete form submission remains last week of September. While the application forms for the April session are available in the month of February the last date of the completed form submission remains the end of February. It is very important to keep the following points in mind before filling the application form for NTA JEE Main 2021.
How To Fill NTA JEE Main 2021 Online Form
The first stage of the application form (NTA Jee main 2021) filling starts with registration. The candidate during registration is to submit their personal information such as Name, Gender, Qualifying Examination Detail, etc.
After the registration NTA Jee main 2021 is complete, the candidate has to submit the online application form. For the login purpose, the candidate must first generate a strong password, while filling the application form, the candidate has to provide his personal information, contact number, qualifying examination details, and education details.
The candidates have to upload their signatures and photographs after filling in the application form successfully. The signature and photographs related information is given below.
The candidate has to upload his/her scanned photograph, which can be in size from 10 KB to 200 KB and the dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The file format of the photographs which will be uploaded must be of JPG or JPEG.
The candidate has also to upload his/her scanned signature image, which can be in size from 4 KB to 30 KB and the dimensions should be 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm. The file format of the signature image which will be uploaded must be of JPG or JPEG.
Since the NTA releases the admit card for the exam. The candidate will have to visit the official website (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/) of the NTA to download the admit card.
In order to download the admit card, the candidate will need their application number and password. After entering your application number and password, the candidate can easily download his/her admit card by following the given instructions.
