JavaScript Enable

Every modern web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, etc.) supports JavaScript. At the same time, we can manually control (enable or disable) it, as per our requirements. Here we will be discussing the process that, how to enable or disable JavaScript in Web Browsers.

Steps to Enable JavaScript in Chrome

  • Click on three dots (⋮) on the top right corner in chrome.
  • Select the “Settings”.
  • At the bottom left click “Advanced”.
  • Select “Privacy and Security”, then click on “content settings”.
  • Click on “JavaScript”.
  • Finally click on “Allowed (recommended)”.

Steps to Enable JavaScript in Firefox

  • Open a new tab in Firefox Browser.
  • Type “about:config” and hit enter.
  • A new window will open with a warning message “Accept the Risk and Continue”, click on it.
  • A list of configuration options will be opened.
  • In search bar type javascript.enabled.
  • Click on the toggle button appearing on right side to enable or disable the JavaScript.

If the value of javascript.enabled is true then on clicking on the right side toggle button will make it false and vice versa.

Steps to Enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer

  • Click on the Menu option, then select “Tools” in “Internet Options”.
  • In “Custom level” click on the “Security” tab.
  • Now in the Scripting section, click on “Enable JavaScript”.
  • A dialogue box will appear, click yes to enable the JavaScript.

Steps to Enable JavaScript in Opera

  • Click on the Menu option, then select “Tools” in “Preferences Options”.
  • Select “Advanced” option from the dialogue box.
  • Select “Content” option.
  • Select “Enable JavaScript” checkbox.
  • Finally click on “OK” button to activate JavaScript.
